# Oleh Kotsyuba Appointed College Fellow at Harvard

As of August 2015, Oleh Kotsyuba was appointed College Fellow at Harvard University. A College Fellowship is a short-term, non-tenure-track faculty position that is held by "[exceptional scholars who have recently completed their doctoral work and have demonstrated excellence in teaching](http://academic-appointments.fas.harvard.edu/e-college-fellows)." In addition to pursuing their own research, College Fellows serve as course heads for courses that would otherwise be taught by tenure-track or tenured faculty.

Within his College Fellowship, Oleh Kotsyuba will teach two courses in the fall term ("Narrative Strategies in Gogol's Short Fiction" and "Global Voices: Russian Literature Today") and one course in the spring term of 2015-16 academic year (Sophomore Tutorial for Slavic Concentrators). He will also continue his research on Russian and Ukrainian literature of the 1970-1980s, and on contemporary Russian and Ukrainian literature and film.
